実は日本語がペラペラ
“グラビア界の黒船”“21世紀のアグネス・ラム(オッさんにしか分からない、たとえですな)”と称され、現在最も注目されるグラドルのリア・ディゾン(20)に仰天疑惑が浮上している。何と彼女は純粋な日本人ではないのか？というのである。
「彼女は最初、フランス系アメリカ人の母と、中国系フィリピン人のハーフで、ネバダ州ラスベガス出身。日本語はほとんど話せないという触れ込みでしたが、実は、日本語がペラペラなのが発覚しています。
更に彼女は好きなミュージシャンとして、ＸＪＡＰＡＮや森山直太朗、宇多田ヒカルなどの邦楽系のアーティストを挙げています。リアが来日したのは昨年の春、宇多田ヒカルは別にして、森山直太朗やＸＪＡＰＡＮが出てくるのはちょっぴり謎。そのほかにも好きな食べ物が、キムチと焼肉。アメリカ育ちの女のコとしてはかなり不思議な取り合わせ。
一番奇妙なのが好きなミュージックビデオが椎名林檎の『歌舞伎町の女王』ですからね…。本人でも20歳の女のコは椎名林檎の名前は挙げないのでは…と思います」(グラビア編集者)
ちょっとリアに興味がわいて、彼女の公式ブログをのぞいてみると…なんじゃこりゃ！「あたりまえだのクラッカー」なんて、今どき日本人のオッさんでも言わない書き込みが見つかった！ 「彼女のブログは、英文をリアが書き、それを翻訳家が日本の文章に直して掲載するスタイル。しかし『あたりまえだのクラッカー』に関しては、リア自身がローマ字で書いているので、リアが『あたりまえだのクラッカー』という言葉を知っているのは間違いないでしょう。実際、撮影現場でリアは、『何でそんなことまで知ってるの』と驚かされるような日本語をしゃべっている。それで『これだけ日本語がしゃべれるんだったら、バラエティくらいこなせるね』と聞いたら、『本人はあくまでも歌手として活動したいらしくて…』と事務所の方がおっしゃってました」(前出・編集者)
